Shipping Information

What to expect

Most shipments are made by over the road trucks called common carriers, which deliver MTC products.  MTC will provide the shipping cost on the sales order, so the cost can be known before approving the sales order.   All orders are sent freight collect and billed to a third party which means the shipping is paid on our invoice by the customer and MTC will pay the truck line. Special arrangements can be made to accommodate customer requests with shipping.  All goods sold by Missouri Table and Chair are sold on the basis of FOB point origin and become the responsibility of the consignee at the time the goods are loaded at the origin and the carrier signs the bill of lading.  This means that the freight line takes responsibility for any damages after receiving product in good condition from MTC until the customer signs the Bill of Lading taking possession of the products.

What to do if shipping problem occurs

Some common problems infrequently arise during shipping such as damaged product, missing pieces, late or delayed shipments, or wrong product shipped.  React promptly if there are any problems with your shipment.    If there are damages they must be noted on the paperwork called a Bill of Lading, then contacting MTC within a few hours for assistance.  Missing pieces are frequently just misplaced upon opening up boxes, but a mistake could have been made by MTC as well.  Sometimes due to weather, scheduling, or other circumstances freight lines can be late or too early which may be out of MTC’s control, but will work with the freight lines to get our products to you on time.  With any issue regarding shipping MTC should be contacted the same day as when the shipment arrives while everyone is aware of what happened.  Upon a customer’s inquiry, MTC will the resolution process immediately.
